Lid or No Lid? We thought it a great idea to give the option to save money on your candle by not having a lid, it will not effect your candle quality as all our candles have a dust cover on the top to keep them fresh. The addition of a metallic lid is mainly for aesthetic reasons for example if your giving as a gift.
Candle Care
Please follow these directions to get the best from your hand poured candle.
PLEASE READ AND RETAIN for future reference.
1. IMPORTANT: ALWAYS KEEP YOUR CANDLE AWAY FROM DRAFTS, ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE CANDLE IS PLACED ON A SECURE AND FLAT SURFACE
2. BURNING TIMES: The fist burn is the most important and takes the longest, around 4 hours for a full wax melt pool and prevent tunnelling. When you light your candle for the first time, please be mindful that it must burn for 4 hours.
3. WICK CARE: Keep wick trimmed to 5mm, before and when lit.
Candle-wicks have a tendency to curl over at the top. Be sure to snip this curl (to 5mm) before re-lighting to help your candle burn evenly.
If a candle is smoking slightly with a large flame, the wick is too long. Extinguish the candle and trim as detailed above.
A low, small flame means the wick has been trimmed too short. Digging around in the wax will not help!! Extinguish the flame and tip out the melted wax and re-light.
When re-lighting your candle remember to trim the wick EVERY time. If any debris or soot falls onto the wax when trimming this must be removed before lighting.
4. FOR SAFETY: Burn within sight. Do not burn down to the bottom of the container, or on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
